There is a distinct process to buying a vessel that suits you, that will give you enormous enjoyment and hopefully lead to the purchase of a bigger and better one in years to come.

Establish a budget, talk to us about ongoing costs and running expenses, then pound the boardwalks physically looking at boats whether thay are for sale or not to see if they are suitable.

Of course, the internet and trade publications are valuable but nothing can replace actually getting down to your local marina. You will find that there is no shortage of advice being given to you but invariably the person giving it will have vastly different opinions from the ones you have already heard.

We will ascertain your needs and then endeavour to put you into the right craft that won't break the bank and that you will be able to manage. It may take time to find the right boat but it will be worth it.

When you have found the right vessel you will be asked to pay a holding deposit (usually 10% of purchase price) which secures the boat for you and enables you to have it fully inspected by qualified people to make sure that there are no surprises or latent defects. If it doesn't measure up you will have your deposit refunded less the costs incurred in having the boat inspected and we will then try to find you something more suitable.

We can provide you with a list of independent experts but it is you who are employing them and you who are paying them.

All being well, a sea trial is arranged to ensure all systems are functioning properly and that the boat performs as expected.
